First, thank you so much JoAnn for all the years of leading our group and all the work you put into it. We appreciate everything you have done to keep us on our mission and make it fun!

Marylou handed out a list of the Officers and Volunteers for 2019. She kindly volunteered to lead all the meetings and this was wholeheartedly approved!

We also discussed the first six months of 2019 and the current calendar is on the website. Looks like a fun year coming up! A number of people volunteered to take a month each and present a pattern or technique.

Layers and Chandeliers Pattern

Lois introduced a new pattern called Layers and Chandeliers. 

Looking forward to sewing it at the next Sew Bee on April 26th.

More Sew Bees!

We will start to include another Sew Bee on our regular Business Meeting days. The room will be available to us from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on those days.

If you just want to come for the Business Meeting on those days, it will still be at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Ken Burg

At the January 13, 2015 Business Meeting we had a wonderful visit from Ken Berg who has entered quilts for Quiltweek in Paducah, Kentucky. He was also featured in an article in American Quilter magazine (January 2013). He brought four amazing quilts to show us. 

BQ Block

Lois presented the BQ block, modified for a baby quilt. You can see many of the finished ones in the February 18th and March 11th photo galleries.

Lucky 13 On Point Quilt

Emmi gave us a great lesson on On Point designing at the March 11th Business Meeting. She has provided a pattern for an on point quilt called the Lucky 13 that we can make at the next Sew Bee on March 25th. You can find the pattern here.

Next Business Meeting on January 14, 2014

The next meeting is coming up on Tuesday, January 14th. 


1. Jane will be introducing "Boston Common" which she will host at the Sew Bee on January 28th.


2. Treat Volunteers - remember your commitments (check your calendar)


3. Field Trip to Martingale Publishing (perhaps lunch at Molbaks)


 4. Shall we have another "Bed Turning" event?


5. Calendar changes due to Scheduling by PUD.


6. Emmi needs any updates of members' addresses and phone numbers.

Christmas Party

The annual Christmas Party was held on December 17 at the New Horizons Church at 
307 East "F" Street in Shelton. There was great food, a fabric exchange, caroling and more! Many quilts were donated - go to the Photo Gallery to see them all!

Mason County Journal Article

Natalie Johnson from the Mason County Journal visited our group during the October 22 Sew Bee and wrote an article about the group. You can see the article by going to "Articles About Us" under the "Who We Are" tab. There is also a June 2011 article from the Journal and a June 2012 article from MGH Scope Magazine.
